IT Sector

IT Sector

The IT Sector performs the following activities:

  • application of information technology and the Internet with the aim of advancement of the organisation and manner of work of the Ministry of Justice, courts of general jurisdiction, the public prosecution service, commercial courts, institutions of the Administration for the Execution of Penitentiary Sanctions and minor offences organs
  • providing for the creation and development of the Judicial Information System of Serbia (PRISS), especially with regard to the application of IT in activities entrusted by law to the Ministry of Justice in the judiciary and in the execution of penitentiary sanctions
  • control of the use of IT in accordance with the Regulation on Work in the Judicial Organs
  • looking after the implementation and use of IT standards in the procurement of equipment, materials and software, performance of works and provision of services in the sphere of IT and the Internet
  • providing professional assistance and conducting supervision of the installation of IT and the Internet in the judiciary, and performing other activities in connection with the development and installation of IT.
Information Processing and Analytical Department

The Information Processing and Analytical Department performs the following activities:

  • drafting information analyses and reports with the aim of upgrading the organisation and performance of the judiciary (courts of general jurisdiction), the public prosecution service, commercial courts, institutions of the Administration for the Execution of Penitentiary Sanctions and minor offences organs
  • providing for the creation and development of the Judicial Information System of Serbia (PRISS) and Internet links in accordance with the law, especially with regard to the use of jurisprudence, libraries and professional literature, rational and efficient operation and expenditure of funds, as well as all other factors which affect efficiency
  • preparing and proposing solutions in connection with the procurement of IT equipment and computer software
  • organising training for IT users and for personnel employed on IT
  • coordination of the work of internal PRISS users and those outside it
  • other activities determined by the competent Assistant Minister.
