SPRING FOR SERBIAN JUDICIARY

28.03.2013.

Today, Minister of Justice and Public Administration, Nikola Selaković together with the President of the Higher Court in Kraljevo, Milan Davidović and the President of the Supreme Court of Cassation, Dragomir Milojević officially opened the renovated building of  the Higher Court in Kraljevo which suffered great damage caused by earthquake in 2010.

The Minister emphasised that the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration will make efforts to provide all necessary working conditions for judges and prosecutors even in most remote places in Serbia where there is a court, court unit or prosecution. He said that the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration invested over 31 million dinars from its own resources, not from credits and loans, for the renovation and recovery of the building of  the Higher Court in Kraljevo, where the Higher Public Prosecution is also located.

During the opening of the court in Kraljevo, Minister emphasised that the Ministry has one more task ahead, that is to remove consequences of the earthquake in the building of the Basic Court in Kraljevo and after that to draft law on judicial network whose amendments will unburden the Higher Court in Kraljevo.

“I wish for the opening of the renovated building of  the Higher Court in Kraljevo to be the beginning of judiciary “spring” and that we have more such occasions in the future so we can see satisfied judges and prosecutors in courts and therefore the citizens of Serbia themselves,” said Selaković.
