The Minister also stressed the importance of raising awareness among experts and citizens of the role of whistleblowers in the fight against systemic corruption. He stated that penalising whistleblowers by employers had to be put to an end, and also that cooperation with non-governmental organisations involved in the fight against corruption had to be strengthened.

In order to protect the status of whistleblowers, the Ambassadors stressed the need for all institutions relevant in this area to concert their efforts, and Minister Selaković said that the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration would support the activities of independent institutions in the fight against corruption.
