THE MINISTER OF JUSTICE AND PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION NIKOLA SELAKOVIC IN VISIT TO CROATIA

The Minister of Justice and Public Administration Nikola Selaković met today with the Minister of Justice of Croatia Orsat Miljenović in Zagreb, where they discussed legal cooperation between two countries involving general forms of providing legal aid, cooperation in terms of mutual enforcement of court decisions in criminal matters, and extradition.

They also discussed the existing legal framework for cooperation including agreements that were in the proposal stage or already in force, as well as future steps for reaching new agreements.

After the meeting with the Croatian Minister of Justice, Minister Selaković pointed out the importance of a dialogue between the two states, especially in the field of European integration.

“We discussed about resolving all open issues, stating that there are not any forbidden or secret subjects. It is important to reach solutions that would be beneficial to both parties”, said Minister Selaković and added that legal cooperation of the two states was a foundation for economic or any other cooperation.

Minister Selaković concluded that there were many things connecting Serbia and Croatia in the future, and that Serbia would learn from the experience of other countries and use it for its own further progress.
